About Galeira

A short story about why a wedding-photo problem became a platform.

What we're building

Galeira is a photo-collection platform for any gathering — weddings, memorials, parties, corporate events, family reunions. One QR code on the table, every guest's phone photos flow into a single gallery, and — uniquely — auto-mirror to a cloud you already own (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3, or any WebDAV-compatible NAS).

That last part is the whole point. Every other photo-sharing app stores your memories ontheir infrastructure. If they shut down, raise prices, change terms, or get acquired by someone who doesn't care about your wedding, your photos go with them. Galeira's promise is that your photos cannot vanish — because by the time the event is over, they live in your cloud, not ours.

Who's behind it

Galeira is a small independent team. We started in 2025 under the name Bridelume (wedding-only), and renamed to Galeira when it became clear that the same workflow worked for every gathering — birthdays, memorials, conferences, photographer studios.

Why now

• Phones replaced cameras at events. Every guest is a photographer; almost none of them share the photos with the host afterwards.
• Cloud storage is finally a commodity. Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, even the NAS in your closet — all have free APIs that didn't exist a decade ago. We can finally route a guest's photo into the host's cloud without owning a server farm.
• App fatigue is real. No-one downloads “the wedding app.” A QR code that opens a webpage and accepts a drop of photos is the only flow that works.

What we won't do

• Train AI on your photos. Not now, not ever.
• Sell or share your photos with any third party.
• Bury “export your photos” behind a paywall — Forever-tier mirrors photos to your own cloud automatically; nothing to download manually.
• Run a social feed. Galeira has no algorithm and no public discovery — your event is your event.
