Help · Backup proof and receipts

Storage destination vs backup proof — what's the difference?

A storage destination means you connected your own cloud account, such as Google Drive. Backup proof means at least one approved file has actually copied to that cloud. Galeira only says "backed up" after the copy succeeds.

Step by step

  1. Connect a storage destination from your event's Storage screen (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3, or WebDAV).
  2. Before the first copy finishes, Galeira shows "storage connected" or "copying".
  3. After an approved photo copies to your cloud, Galeira shows "backup verified" and generates a backup receipt.

Expected result: Storage status moves from "connected" → "copying" → "backup verified" as files copy.

If it still fails

If status stays on "copying" for a long time, open Storage status and tap Retry. If it still doesn't move, contact support — we can inspect the destination logs.

Still stuck? We can look at your event directly.
