A small, quiet app for the photos that matter.

Galeira collects every photo from a gathering through one QR code, mirrors them to a cloud you already own, and keeps them there. No ads, no AI training on your faces, no app required to upload. Just photos that outlive the phone they were taken on.

Why we built it

Every wedding, funeral, school play, company offsite — the same story. The host arrives home with a few of their own photos plus whatever the official photographer captured days later. Hundreds of guests took thousands of photos that lived on phones for two weeks and then quietly disappeared into camera roll oblivion.

Other apps tried to solve this with WhatsApp groups, Dropbox links, Google Photos albums. They're fine for the four people who already use the same service and have the storage budget. The other 80 guests didn't upload anything because friction was too high.

Galeira is what happens when you make the friction zero and the longevity infinite. One QR code on the table. Guests open the camera, point, upload — no account, no app, no login. Then the photos get mirrored to a cloud the host already pays for (Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3, Nextcloud, take your pick). When we eventually shut the company down — every company eventually shuts down — the host's photos are still on their own cloud, exactly where the host put them.

What we won't do

  • We will never sell your photos or your data.
  • We will never use your photos to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
  • We will never lock your photos behind a subscription. Once they're in your own cloud, they're yours.
  • We will never make uploading require an account. Guest uploads stay frictionless on purpose.

Who we are

A small team based in the EU with combined decades of experience in photography, photo archiving, and consumer software. We optimise for the host's peace of mind, not for anyone's growth metric. We'd rather you set Galeira up for one event, never think about it again, and find your photos exactly where you expect them five years later.
