Our commitment

Your photos cannot vanish.

Most event-photo apps make this a slogan. We make it a contract.

The five things we commit to, in writing

1. Every approved guest photo is auto-mirrored to a cloud destination YOU own — within 24 hours.
Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon S3, or any WebDAV server (Nextcloud, ownCloud, Synology, QNAP). You connect it once; we copy every approved photo automatically. Original quality. No re-encoding. No watermarks.
2. If Galeira ever shuts down, every host with a connected cloud gets 30 days notice + a final ZIP of every event.
The ZIP includes original-quality photos, voice memos, video, and a CSV of guest names + timestamps + comments. Delivered to the email on file. You don't need a Galeira account active to download it.
3. We will never use your guest photos to train AI models — ours, or anyone else's.
Not for face-match training, not for image generation, not licensed to a third-party dataset, not used to fine-tune a model we resell. Even our moderation provider (Amazon Rekognition) discards images after each request. Documented in our privacy policy.
4. We will never sell your guest data or your photos. Ever.
No data brokers. No marketing-list resale. No silent partnerships. If Galeira is ever acquired, this commitment transfers with the company or every host gets 30 days notice + a final ZIP — your choice.
5. Once a year, we email every host: “your photos are still safe. Last sync: N days ago.”
A boring email that proves the mirror is alive. If you ever stop receiving it, something is wrong and we want to know. Reply to that email and a human (the founder) replies within 48 hours.

What this is NOT

Not a guarantee of business continuity. No solo startup can credibly promise to exist in 30 years. The point of #1 is that you don't need us to exist — your photos live in your cloud regardless.
Not a guarantee against cloud-provider failure. If Google Drive loses your data, that's on Google. The point of #1 is multiplying the places your photos live (us + your cloud) so a failure of any single provider can't take everything.
Not a substitute for your own backup. We recommend connecting at least one cloud destination so the wedge actually applies. If you don't, your photos live only on Galeira — that's less safe than what we're committing to here.

How to verify these commitments

· This page is dated v1 · 2026-06-02. We bump the version only when we change a substantive promise; you can audit the page history on GitHub.
· Every approved upload writes a row to mirrorJobs in our database with status, R2 + cloud destination, and timestamp. Pro hosts can see the live mirror status in their dashboard.
· Our open vulnerability-disclosure policy is at /security and at /.well-known/security.txt. Security researchers + journalists can email any concern.
