Texas addendum (TDPSA)
This addendum supplements our baseline Privacy Policy for Texas residents under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Chapter 541, effective 1 July 2024.
Your TDPSA rights
- Access, correction, deletion, portability.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Notice at collection
TDPSA requires a clear statement that if we sell sensitive personal data or biometric data we say so. Galeira does not sell sensitive or biometric data, full stop. The opt-in face-grouping feature uses biometric vectors that are encrypted, deleted with the event, never shared, and never used to train any model.
Sensitive data — consent
Processing sensitive data (TDPSA § 541.001(28): racial / ethnic origin, religious belief, mental / physical health diagnosis, sexual orientation, citizenship, immigration status, genetic / biometric data for identification, data of a known child, precise geolocation) requires consent. We treat biometric as opt-in only.
Universal opt-out
TDPSA requires recognition of universal opt-out mechanisms from 1 January 2025. We honour Global Privacy Control browser signals as opt-outs of targeted advertising and sale.
